You know what they say. Sometimes you gotta see it to believe it.
That's why I headed to Lexington Fetal Photography this past Saturday to confirm that we hare having a girl. Because for some reason I was convinced that there was a little boy in my belly even after the tech at my anatomy ultrasound said it was a girl.
Maybe it was the phone call from a friend on our way to the doctor's office to tell us about how his ultrasound tech told him and his wife they were having a girl only to find out it was a boy at delivery.
Or it could be the fact that there is an overabundance of males in the Webb family.
Or maybe, just maybe, it was the fact that deep down I was scared to let myself believe that I would ever experience a daughter. Even though I never had that thought consciously.
All doubts were hushed when the very first shot on the screen was my child pressing her bottom against the probe. No doubt, we're having a girl. Ha.
Nana, Mingie & Aunt Angie (and Baby Hank in utero) were all there to experience the special time.
Cindy was wonderful. She's a mom to three, a UK fan and a wonderful technician. We spent nearly an hour from start to finish, and I never felt rushed. She seemed to be just as excited as the rest of us!
I want to share a picture with the reminder that these were taken at 19 1/2 weeks gestation. The ideal time for 3D/4D ultrasounds is between 28 and 32 weeks. So Warren has still not blossomed into her full baby form. I made a couple of notes to help you see what's what:).
To all of you expectant or soon-to-be expectant mommies out there, I give two thumbs up to Lexington Fetal Photography for giving me such a great experience. You can find them at www.afetalphoto.com or on their facebook page.
What a beautiful little girl you have!! She looks just perfect. And that smile just melts your heart! Congratulations on the girl! I would have to see it to believe it again too! I am the same way, not only are both our families boy heavy but out of 13 preggo friends or friends that just had a baby, all but 2 (and yours is 1 of those) are boys! So I am convinced for that reason ours is a boy, even though most are guessing girl for some reason. Congrats again, she is so cute! Have fun buying pink..I think I would be going crazy buying a BIG wardrobe for a little girl!
